Dried Oriental Mixed Mushrooms — A Blend of 4 Favorites
A note on the name: we use the term "Oriental Mix" to refer to the geographic origin of these mushroom varieties, which are native to East and Southeast Asia. It is a reference to the region, not to any people or culture.
We’ve blended four of the finest mushroom varieties from East Asia into one extraordinary mix: Oyster, Shiitake, Eryngii, and shredded Wood Ear. Rich, earthy, and deeply savory — this is a blend that will transform any dish it touches.
Endless Culinary Uses
This versatile blend shines in a wide range of preparations:
- Stir-fries, soups, and stews
- Sautéed in butter, garlic, and white wine as a topping for steak, chicken, or pork
- Added dry straight from the bag to broths and slow-cooked dishes
How to Use
Rehydrate your dried mushrooms by placing them in a bowl, covering with hot water, and soaking for 15 to 20 minutes. They’re ready to use straight away. Save the soak water — it’s packed with deep mushroom flavor, perfect for adding to soups, sauces, and risottos.
Prefer to skip the soak? No problem — you can add them dry right from the bag to soups, stews, and braised dishes.
Tip: 1 oz of dried mushrooms is equal to about 8 oz of fresh. Store your dried mushrooms in the freezer — they will keep their flavor, color, and last indefinitely.
